Release GOG Galaxy 3.0 for Linux
Either a Linux compatible solution (for those nasty DRMs games, hu…).
Or go down, and let Steam win.
+1. Lutris works fine for the most part but I'd like to see a GoG client for Linux in the future. Whether directly from GoG ( via Galaxy ) or through an API the community can build on.
Or atleast let the community clean-room reverse-engineer the GoG Launchers ...Or better yet allow access & implement the features API under source-available with rights reserved ©️ terms.
Forget about the Galaxy client, they should either release an API and let others make the client, or release a minimal CLI client with core functionality - game downloading, save synchronisation and achievements. It has to work with Windows game versions otherwise it's pointless. The community would surely step in to build on top of such client and they no doubt be more successful.
minigalaxy is not a solution. Lutris is not a solution. I can't play Stardew Valley over the internet with friends on a Lutris install.

I feel like a fool for pushing GOG to people for years(before you forced the awful unfinished 2.0 client down our throats).

For the love of GOG, stop driving us away!
Ehm, folks, GOG Galaxy is plagued with CVEs, I am not joking, it's very badly done, just look up a few search queries. Do we need this Hell on our secure Linux? I'll say I hope someone sane will do that instead, a full-fledged client. CD Projekt Red are clearly incapable to do safe programming or resolve CVEs in time.
Screw Galaxy, even if they cared to make it, it would be most likely crippled compared to the Windows version.
All we need is CLI client we can use to
- authenticate with GOG
- download our stuff (both windows and Linux versions!)
- launch the games AND track the achievements progress

Program like this could be integrated into Lutris, Bottles or even launched from within the Linux Steam client so that we can use the controller remapping, streaming etc.
I thought this was originally a joke wish. As in: "Galaxy 1 and 2 clearly didn't/won't support linux, maybe by the time they get around to Galaxy 3.0 they'll finally support the most wished list in GOG history!"
