As DevOps engineer you will join the Containerization team and work with passionate professionals on migrating GOG services to Kubernetes ensuring high reliability and efficient delivery pipeline for product engineers.

Responsibilities:

Sneak peek of what you will experience:

  • microservices (PHP, GoLang, Node, Python) handling 35 000 reqs/s in peak moments
  • Docker all across the development pipeline and production Kubernetes cluster
  • hybrid infrastructure managed as a code (Terraform)
  • fresh microservices and long-lived ones (technical debt is present and requires requiring smart adaptation to the new infrastructure)
  • close cooperation with Infrastructure, SRE and Product engineering teams

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with:
    • containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD)
    • migrating services from VMs to Kubernetes
    • infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
    • CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitLab, preferably also Jenkins)
    • service meshes (Consul) and proxies (Envoy, Nginx, Varnish)
    • operating PHP, Node.js applications
  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e.: Python)
  • Linux (Debian) administration skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Proactiveness and capability to self-organize
  • Eagerness to share knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pluses:

  • Experience operating applications in PHP, Node.js, GoLang or Python.
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and cloud platforms)
